Happy First Birthday Paityn {Personal}

Wow. Where do I even begin? I don't think words can do justice how I feel about my little girl turning one! This past year has flown by, and I've been adjusting to being a working mom with two littles, but I wouldn't change it for the world! I am absolutely in love with every stage of little Paityn's life to-date. I have all the feels that it's her first birthday! It seems like just yesterday we were bringing her home from the hospital! To celebrate her first birthday, I had to put together a blog post of some highlights of her first year!

On March 30, 2018 at 1:54 pm, Paityn Jo Haluska was born weighing 9 lbs 7 oz. I was induced that morning, 6 days before my due date. Paityn was taking her sweet time in the morning; being a little stubborn and strong-willed wanting to stay right where she was. But when she was ready, she was here!! I should've known from that day, she'd be a strong-willed little girl, and she has definitely proved that to be true :) I wouldn't have it any other way! She is absolutely perfect.

Summer of 2017 we found out that we were expecting baby #2. We opted for the early blood test for early screening, which also can tell the gender. I remember sitting on the couch when the nurse called me, stating that the results came back and no significant concerns were noted (AMEN!). She asked if I wanted to know the gender (I was 12 weeks pregnant). I said Yes. When she said "It's a girl", I literally asked, "Can you repeat that please so I can make sure that I'm not dreaming?!" I was so thrilled and shocked that I would be getting a little girl, and even more thankful that the early screening results came back with reports of a healthy baby. God is good!

I couldn't wait for Paityn to arrive!! I was a little nervous going from one little one to two and how I would provide the care and attention to two little ones. I look back now thinking how crazy I was to be so worried about that, but at the time I didn't know! After Paityn was born, Tucker came to the hospital with Bumpa and Grandma to meet his little sister. He was not quite two yet and so excited!

After a couple nights in the hospital, we packed our bags and headed home with this new little bundle of joy, Paityn Jo!

The first few sleepless weeks flew by and soon Paityn was one month old! At one month, she liked to nap, snuggle, and to be in her swing. She disliked sleeping long periods of time if she wasn't held. She was eating every 2 - 3 hours and enjoying time at home with mom. Tucker was very helpful, always getting Paityn's nuk for her!

...and soon two months came along in the blink of an eye! At two months -

Likes: nuk, snuggling, activity gym, being worn in mom's wrap, and smiling!

Dislikes: falling asleep and then her nuk falling out, falling asleep for the night (fast-paced walking helped ;) )

Followed by three months! We celebrated her baptism with family!

Likes: nuk (all the time!), being rocked, seeing all around her, and smiling

Four months old! At this age, Paityn loved smiling and "talking." At 3 months a 1 week, she rolled over and began rolling over constantly since! She still preferred cat naps during the day but was starting to make progress with a longer afternoon nap. Still loves her nuk and her swing but also started using the jumper. She typically woke up twice at night. At this point, I was so hoping we could get it down to once or none! She loved facing out and walking around to see everything around her. She was just about to pop her first tooth!

At five months old, Paityn absolutely loved to be outside and watch everything around her. Her big brother makes her giggle like no one else can. At this point, she had been constantly rolling over (both ways)! She started eating oatmeal for breakfast and veggies for supper. She was still working on the sleep at night ;) At this time, Paityn also started daycare and absolutely loves it! She had two teeth and little tendril curls in her hair. She is the sweetest!

Paityn and Tucker enjoyed Halloween! Paityn went as a Skunk and Tucker was a Cow. Their costumes were a hit. Love these littles!

Six months old - and Paityn is already half a year! Ahh!!! She can push herself up to crawl and just started army crawling. Two weeks prior to six months she started sleeping in her crib in her own room and she's been doing great. Mostly up just once and a few nights slept through the night! She does really well at putting herself to bed too (unlike her big brother when he was this age). She loves rolling, playing with Tucker's toys, talking, her nuk, and daycare. Such a strong, independent, happy, and content little girl!

Seven months old - She's army crawling everywhere! Most nights she is now sleeping through the night and still likes putting herself to bed!! She still loves her nuk; dislikes car rides. She's now on three meals of baby food a day. She's growing up so quickly. She even sings notes after I sing them. Love her to pieces!

Eight months old - Paityn can now sit up on her own. She likes pulling herself up on things now and crawls all over the place. She has 6 teeth, loves pop music (favorite song is Glee's Jingle Bells - 'tis the season!). At this stage, she loved rattles and teethers. She still finds Tucker hilarious. She just started saying "mamma" too!

Nine months old - she's still crawling and pulling herself up on everything. She started eating some solid foods, and she loves to eat like a big girl. She sleeps almost 12 hours every night! She has eight teeth. She is full of smiles and has become quite the snuggler!

Paityn loved her first Christmas! Santa was so good to her and Tucker! She loved seeing the tree and had an awesome time opening gifts with Tucker. Such an amazing time of the year.

Ten months old - She is still crawling like crazy but now prefers to pull herself up on everything; she is so proud. She still has 8 teeth but just about to pop more. She loves to dance. She still loves eating big people food and will tell you she's too big for the baby containers. She still prefers Tucker's toys over hers and is just over the moon for her big brother!

My little Valentines <3

Eleven months old - Last month Paityn was 11 months! She's pulling herself up and walking along things constantly. With help, she's causing and walking around. She sleeps awesome at night and still loves big people food. This was a month of teething; all four molars came through at once! She now has 12 teeth. She loves to snuggle; it is the sweetest thing. Last month before the big ONE!

Well Paityn, here you are at one year old! I can't believe it! You are such a sweetheart and bring me so much joy! You still love your nuk, big people food, and your sippy cups. You just started taking your first few steps!! You absolutely love to snuggle. You love to take care of your baby doll; you are just the sweetest! You can say "momma, dadda, Tucker, Shanna, Tiger, and Hi." :) You continue to be the sweetest little addition to our family!

Happy first birthday little girl!
