Tucker 2 Years {Personal!}

Every 3 months I am taking photos of Tucker and Paityn to help document their growth. I am so excited to have these memories and moments to cherish forever!

For 2 year photos for Tucker, I was waiting until he got a haircut and I planned to dress him all up. Then I thought, Why? That's not how I see Tucker every day. That day, I decided I wanted to capture Tucker candidly, with his hair that grows so long and fast! With his regular t-shirt and shorts (actually, he was dressed up today...he's usually just in sweatpants or athletic shorts. We do comfy around here!).

When you're a photographer, you really try to pay attention to the light and plan certain locations, backgrounds, and lighting to best capture the photo. Yea right...try that with a two year old running around faster than I can keep up and diving right into the dirt! We had about a 15 minute mini session where I just ran around outside and did my best to get him still for seconds at a time! We did enlist dad's help for a few minutes; it was necessary! Photographer's tip: it's always helpful to intentionally plan to have someone in addition to the photographer behind the camera to help make your little(s) smile! Bringing favorite toys or even having mini rewards throughout the session can also be helpful to maximize those smiles and candid moments and minimizing the time of the session!

This little boy makes my heart burst. It's so fun to watch him learn and grow. He's speaking full sentences, loves his fruits and veggies, could play outside all day, has a crib full of stuffed animals, has cousin and daycare besties, is testing his limits, and is just the best big brother to Paityn.

Let's see what another year brings Tucker William!

...and this is why dad's starting to build him a sandbox! We can't wait!!

"A little kindness can change everything."

"Mom, I pick you flower!"

Here's to being 2 and all of the awesomeness that it brings!!
